This iconic willow tree helps anchor the north shore of Flathead Lake. The illegally permitted bridge obstructs both the scenic beauty and recreational boat use when the lake is at high water. Destruction of the lakebed and the resulting loss of scenic value to the area caused by construction of a private bridge to Dockstader Island on the north shore of Flathead Lake in Bigfork, Montana, in violation of the state's Lakeshore Protection Act, as photographed on May 20, 2015.
